Linda S. (Crimes) Pearson, born on August 12, 1949, departed this life on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

Linda was born in Jacksonville, Florida; she was the middle child born to John Henry Crimes and Lelia Rebecca (Brazell) Crimes. The family left Jacksonville in the early 1950’s and moved to Buffalo, NY; Buffalo, NY was her home until 2020 when she moved to Loganville, Georgia.

Linda was the head majorette of the Lanigan’s marching band, graduating from South Park High School with special honors, receiving a diploma with the Department of Regents and a diploma in Retail.

Linda furthered her education with a Keypunch Operator Business Certificate. She then went on to work at the Big E Savings Bank. Her career choices took her later to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western NY Insurance Company, where she was promoted with top honors until she retired in 1989.

It was in  Buffalo where Linda met her true companion, Gordon German. They were together for 44 years until he proceeded her in death on April 1, 2020.

Also, proceeding her in death were brother, Israel Marshall Jr.; mother, Leila Rebecca (Brazell) Crimes; father, John Henry; brother, John Abrams Crimes; and sister, Barbara Jean (Crimes) Frye.

She is survived by her three children, LaVera L. Crimes, Lawrence L. Griffin, and Charlene L. Cunningham; stepson, Gordon German Jr.; six grandchildren, LaToya L. Nuness, Keyonna M. Holmes-Session, Tyvon Wells, Rion Griffin, Quincey L. Bishop, and Logan Griffin; four great grandchildren, Keyorra L. Holmes, Tylin L. Wells, Valentino Eberra, and Baby Caleb; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins from all over the country.

Linda will best be remembered for her warm smile. She could be found laughing, dancing, and singing with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she will be missed!

A CELEBRATION of LIFE will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 9 AM on the TH Charters Boat, located on the ENGLISH MARINA LANDING, 509 South Ponce De Leon Boulevard, St Augustine, Florida 32084.

    Ms.Linda was always kind and full of life every time we were together . She was beautiful inside and out and I am thankful for the time I got to spend with her.     My Prayers are with your family. I’ve known Linda since the early days of the Perry Projects in Buffalo. I grew up with her and her sister and brother. Lots of great fun memories throughout the many many years.. She was a down to earth good, happy person. I’m just so sorry for your loss..
