Mrs. Lois Leonard Rountree, 91, of Senoia, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022. She was born on May 10, 1931, in Quincy, Massachusetts. She is predeceased by her husband Raby Maurice Rountree, her sister Dorothy McElroy and her son William “Billy” Clifford Whitaker, III.

Lois spent 42 years of her life at J. M. Tull Metals, now known as Ryerson TuII. She was a dedicated and hardworking employee and worked in the Purchasing Department for most of her career with Tull. She became the first female Purchasing Agent.

She is survived by her brother Paul Leonard (Judy) of Davidson, NC; daughter Vicki Whitaker Kashani of Senoia; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Anita Rountree of Hiram; daughter-in-law Melinda Whitaker of Dallas; brother-in-law Don McElroy of Fayetteville; granddaughters Stacy Ellis (Jason) and Kaylee Elliott (William); grandsons Dustin Kashani, Caleb Whitaker, Tyler Whitaker (Kristin), Kenneth Rountree, and Brett Rountree (Tiffany); 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her caregiver Christine Jones who became a dear friend, and especially her dog Peppy.

She has been cremated and her ashes will be distributed in a few of her favorite places in the Spring for a Celebration of Life.
