Lynn Giambrone

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Lynn Giambrone, age 79, of Peachtree City, passed away November 16th, 2021 at 4:20 p.m. at Southwest Christian Care.

Lynn was born on May 2, 1942 in East Orange, New Jersey to the late David and Martha Mohler Strachan. She grew up in Coral Gables, FL, the middle of three daughters. Lynn graduated from Coral Gables High School and shortly after became a wife and then a mother to two daughters. The Giambrone family started in Miami, FL where Ms. Giambrone raised her children. In 1976, Lynn and her family relocated to Marietta, GA. She was a cheerful stay-at-home mom until she began her longtime career in real estate and mortgage lending, then she became sour. Just kidding, she loved her work and playing around.  Lynn made Peachtree City, GA her final home in 1998 when she moved to be closer to her (favorite, ha ha) daughter, Kris. She eventually retired from Southern Crescent Mortgage in 2007.

Lynn was friendly, warm. chatty, and could be a bit goofy. She was creative and had a natural gift of drawing. She would create beautiful pencil and charcoal drawings of animals and characters. Lynn enjoyed working in her yard (actually it was more like whacking bushes) and watching football. She was a wonderful mother and Nana who made sure her family felt her love. Lynn will be remembered by her sweet disposition and contagious smile.

Along with her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her sisters Ann Kern and Joan Valle, and beloved canine companion Sammy. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Kim and Lon Cunninghis of Sandy Springs, GA and Kris and Ron Hannah of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren: Jeff Hannah and wife Callie, Joe Hannah, Madison Cunninghis, and Audrey Cunninghis; former husband: Chuck Giambrone of Sarasota, FL.

Family and friends are invited to visit at 1:30 and attend her celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Lester Road Christian Church ~ 3900 Newton Road, Fairburn GA 30213. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southwest Christian Care ~ 7225 Lester Rd, Union City, GA 30291. Her final 9 months were in their caring, loving, and supportive hands.

The Giambrone family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville. Message of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.

As a boy, growing up next door to Lynn and Chuck provided me with fond memories I will treasure to eternity. Witty, fun loving, caring and beautiful are only a few qualities that spring forward with the mention of her name. I will cherish these thoughts and know her legacy lives on through her children
