Margaret Jean Myers, 87, of Griffin, GA, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024. 

Margaret was born October 12, 1936, in Decatur, IL, to Wilbur Wayne and Melba (Blankenship) Shasteen. She grew up in Sullivan, IL alongside her parents and her two brothers and her sister. Margaret graduated from Decatur High school in 1948.

Margaret met the love of her life while working in the bread store when he came in to buy some bread. The couple were later wed and spent 45 loving and blissful years together. They brought together her two sons and his three sons and one daughter adored and were blessed with nineteen  wonderful grandchildren. 

Ms. Myers was a devout Christian and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and camping in her free time.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Bill Myers, Sr; her brother: Gene Shasteen; and her sister: Helen Shasteen Brown, Stepdaughter Penny Myers Kim. She is survived by her sons: Rick Sulwer (Linda) of Effingham, IL, Brad Sulwer of Griffin, GA, Bill Myers, Jr (Sheila) of Beecher City, IL, and Tim Myers of Silver Lake, WI; her grandchildren: Dustin Sulwer (April), Jill Montory Sulwer (Kevin), Aaron Sulwer (Sheryl), and James Myers; Darrell Myers (Becky); Angie Myers; Kelly Meyers; Ben Sulwer; Anthony Sulwer; Michael Sulwer; and her fur-baby Charlie.
