Margie H Howell, 90, of Salem Alabama received complete healing and entered into eternal rest on June 16, while in the care of Columbus Hospice, Columbus GA, following a brief illness. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Luther & Louisa Hinson, as well as her husband, Larry Howell, and their sons, Robert and David Howell.

Margie loved her Lord, her family and her friends, as well as her  beloved cats- Georgette and Trouble.

Margie served her country, alongside her husband for 30 plus years, while also serving the Lord in various congregations both in country and away during their travels. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, best friend to several, great-grandmother, and cousin thru out her life. She was also a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary 2514 in which she participated in many events to serve the veterans of her community.

Margie is survived by her sons, Larry (Linda), Jefferson SC; Gerald (Laurel), Salem AL, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as special friends, her cats- Georgette and Trouble, along with her sister- Emma (Howard) Sims, SC; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Her legacy of love, devotion to family and her Lord will be continued as she desired.

A memorial service will be planned by the family for later. Her cremains will be placed with her husband, Larry in New Bern NC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to your local hospice or to the VFW Aux as well.
