Ms. Maria Balbina Castillo, age 99, passed away in Fayetteville, Georgia on September 15, 2017.

Ms. Castillo was born in Havana, Cuba on March 31, 1918. She was an avid crocheter and loved to crochet clothing and accessories for her great-grandchildren, especially her great-granddaughters. Ms. Castillo absolutely adored all of her grandchildren.

Ms. Castillo was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Mr. Lazaro Castillo. She is survived by her daughter and son in law: Maida and Felipe Alvarez, of Fayetteville , Georgia; and her son: Carlos Castillo, of Havana, Cuba. Survivors also include her beloved grandchildren: Aramis Alvarez, Ariel Alvarez, Ariadna Warr, Arlo Alvarez, and Alain Alvarez.
