Marilyn Janice Windom passed from this life on June 12th, 2024. Marilyn was born on July 9th, 1946 to parents, Robert and Emma Johnston in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up alongside her sister Billie Ruth Johnston. 

She graduated from North Clayton High School. She went on to meet Michael Windom on a blind date whom she would later marry. Marilyn lived in many places over her lifetime including, Michigan, Louisiana, California, and Georgia. 

Marilyn worked for AT&T as a computer attendant. In 1997, she married Ken Headley, the two made their connection at work. They were married 26 years before Ken’s passing in 2023. Marilyn spent her time caring for Ken and her beloved pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wiley Johnston and Emma Ruth Phillips Johnston; her sister, Billie Ruth Johnston and her nephew, Russell E. Murphy, Jr.

Marilyn is survived by her nieces, Tamarah A. McCull and Shawn E. Albright; great nieces and their husbands, Angel (Aaron) Scibetta and Brandy (Michael) Jackovitch, Holly, Brooklyn and Heather McNorton, Stella and Romall Scibetta, Heidi McNorton-Schneiter; great-nephews, Edward and Matthew McNorton and Sean Albright.

She will be remembered for her deep love for her animals and as a loving sister, aunt, and friend.
