Marion V. Richardson, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away on January 29, 2021.

Ms. Richardson was born on July 26, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia. Those who knew her described her as a happy person, always smiling and she loved her family. Marion enjoyed her flowers and was always adding new plants in her yard near the many bird feeders she maintained. Marion delivered “Meals on Wheels” to the shut ins for a long time and she also volunteered at the Fayetteville Food Bank once a week for many, many months. She was nominated as “Volunteer of the Year” for Fayetteville. She was not selected, but to receive the nomination was an honor. Marion was such a giving person.She was also an avid reader. Marion worked for 16 years as a customer service representative at Ariborne Express until her eventual retirement.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Katie Griffin, her great-grandson Hunter Griffin, and great-great-granddaughter Eleanor Newman.

She is survived by her children: Michael W. Disharoon (Cindy), Cindy D. Rampley (Lanny), Kathy D. Hopkins (Mark) and Michele Carden; grandchildren: Sarah Williams, Charlie Murphy, JD Lester, Candace Ramsey, Shyanne Hatchel and Faith Disharoon; great-grandchildren: Quinton Newman, JoAnna Griffin, Rachel Massey, Grace Griffin, Sirena Ramsey, Chris Ramsey, Sally Williams, Hannah Williams, Maverick Hatchel and Nash Hatchel. She also has five great-great-grandchildren.

She will be buried at Camp Memorial Cemetery in Fayetteville. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a future date.
