Marita Tinch was born March 27, 1961 in Frankfurt, Germany to her late parents, Martha Grassl Werner and Hainz Werner. During her time in Germany, she received a bachelor’s degree in Cosmetology which lead to her career as a beautician here in the United States. As many would say, “She never met a stranger” as her love for people was apparent in her constant smile and laughter. While she loved the joys and beauty of flowers blooming in the spring, she was always wishing for snow. Her family was her rock and she enjoyed the times of companionship with them during holidays and family gatherings. She especially enjoyed holidays, as she would go all out to make sure her home was decorated for the occasion.

Mrs. Tinch, 56, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bernd Muller and Hans-Gunther Werner.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, Jacqueline Tinch and Dominic Tinch both of Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, Victoria, Yahsmene, Larae, and Levi; sister, Renate Muller of Frankfurt, Germany; and her canine companion, Mystic.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the wonderful staff of Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care given to Ms. Tinch and the support shown to the family.
