Marlene Frances Holton was born November 29, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Edna Simmons Martin and William Alford Martin. Growing up, she always had a love for children especially once her nieces and nephews came along. She enjoyed babysitting her nieces and nephews and was overjoyed with buying them gifts and toys for birthdays and holidays.
She worked in the textile industry for a short time until she became a mother and homemaker. She was a former member of Faith Temple Assembly of God in Phenix City, Alabama. Marlene was a devoted Elvis Pressley fan and had a strong appreciation for good food.
Marlene Frances Holton, 60, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital-Midtown Campus. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stefan Holton; and brothers, Richard Allen Martin and Donald Jay Martin.
Survivors include her daughter, Haley Michelle Holton of Phenix City, Alabama; sister, Judy (Stan) Collins of Phenix City, Alabama; brothers, Gary Michael Martin of Eatonton, Georgia and Larry Lee Martin of Phenix City, Alabama; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Please check back for updated service details.

I met Marlene through another friend. She was always a nice and pleaser person. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I pray for her daughter and family. May the father meet her at the gate with open arms and Angel wings.
