Ms. Vera Martin, 84, of Fayetteville, Ga., left us January 21, 2019. Vera was born Mary Elvira Ribo on June 15, 1934 in New York. She grew up there with her parents, Maria and Thomas Ribo and her brother Manuel.

After graduating from Queens College, NY., Vera taught public school in New York and spent a year teaching in India before marrying Roland “Sam” Martin. The couple had three daughters and were married for 49 years until Sam passed away in 2017.

Sam and Vera traveled the world together in their retirement and then settled down in South Florida. Vera is survived by her daughters Kim, Karen, and Tracey and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on February 16, 2019 at the chapel of Georgia Cremation, 1086 Highway 54 West, Fayetteville. Friends may visit the family beginning at 9:30 AM in the chapel. Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.
