Mary Kathleen Arthur, daughter, granddaughter, and friend was a gifted artist with many talents and excelled in music. Tragically, Mary passed away at home on Thursday, May 5, 2022 aged sixteen. Mary attended Starr’s Mill High School and was in the eleventh grade.
Mary was born on August 17, 2005 in Le Ceiba, Honduras and spent the first two years of her life on the Island of Roatan. She then spent the next 14 years of her young life with her Paternal Grandparents, Mary and Kevin Arthur in Peachtree City, Georgia. Mary began learning music at a young age and learnt to play instruments including the piccolo, piano, guitar and ukulele. Mary was a passionate and talented flutist. She played the flute with the Georgia All State Symphony Orchestra, a great achievement.
Mary loved animals and was often seen dog walking, pet sitting or feeding the neighbors’ cats. She had a large heart for all creatures, above and below the water. She often visited Roatan where she enjoyed scuba diving, boating, fishing, and spending time with family. She gained a great appreciation for marine life, the earth is oceans and beaches. She loved the water.
Among her many creative talents Mary was a gifted artist. She loved drawing, painting, and creating pieces of artwork. She often designed her own notecards and pictures to send to her friends and family near and far, with words of gratuity for a recent gift or gesture.
Mary was a support to her family and provided care at home for her grandfather’s everyday needs. Mary was exceptionally helpful driving her grandfather, who is a quadriplegic, to his appointments and activities around town.
She is survived by her mother, Eulina Dilbert, and father Kevin Patrick Arthur, four grandparents and one great grandparent. In addition, a sister, many cousins, uncles and aunts.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 13 at 9 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 101 Walt Banks Rd., Peachtree City, Georgia. A light reception will be held immediately following.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Bloom Closet at Bloom Our Youth in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Each time we have met Mary we have been immensely impressed by her youthful charm, personality and her modesty about her many accomplishments. She was not just pretty but genuinely beautiful.
