Melvienia Baylor was born September 17, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland to Melvin Robert Baylor and Alberta Cassell Davis. Ms. Baylor has always had such a positive demeanor despite the situations or circumstances. She had a smile and laughter that would brighten even the darkest room. Ms. Baylor had a big heart and was always supportive and giving to those in need. She had a knack for numbers and never missed a family member’s or friend’s birthday, anniversary, or even telephone number.
Ms. Baylor adored taking pictures and even carried a disposable camera with her everywhere. She was quite the show off on the dance floor throughout her life. She spent her free time reading, doing crossword puzzles and coloring, which was a fond childhood memory for her children. Her family describes her as a wonderful cook, which she enjoyed. She even wrote down her children’s favorite recipes for them once they were grown, which are cherished deeply. Her love for cooking was grand just like her recipe portions as she always cooked to feed a host of people. She also enjoyed playing the Lottery throughout her life. She would always play the numbers associated with her children’s birthdays and other significant numbers. Ms. Baylor was most proud of her children and grandchildren who she loved unconditionally.
Ms. Melvienia Baylor, 63, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on April 30, 2018 at her home in Columbus, Georgia. She was preceded in her by her mother, Alberta Davis, and her best friend, Lois Walton.
