Muriel E. Beal (Peggy),103, of Fayetteville, Georgia passed away on September 22, 2022. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Saint Augustine’s of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Morrow, Georgia.
Peggy was born April 30, 1919 in Madison, Maine. She spent her early years in Maine and later Rhode Island where she met her husband, George. They were married December 17, 1941. George’s service in the U.S. Army allowed them to travel throughout the United States, and eventually, they settled in Forest Park, Georgia. Peggy received her training as a hair stylist and practiced her profession for 30 years.
Together, George and Peggy were founding members of St. Augustine’s of Canterbury Episcopal Church and the Interfaith Chapel at Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Peggy was a greeter at St. Augustine’s for many years as well as singing in the choir. She volunteered at the Interfaith chapel and volunteered at Christian City for 30 years styling hair in their salon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George, her sisters, Cecelia Haskell, Yvonne McCoy, and Jackie Boudreau, and her brothers, Bob Boudreau, Leon and Gerald Cookson.
Peggy is survived by her children: George Beal and wife, Carolyn Beal; Elaine Beal; Diane Beal and husband, John Conti; and Jeff Beal; her grandson, Nathan, his wife, Carla; their children Greta and Thatcher; her granddaughter, Allison Willis, her husband Nicholus Willis, and their son, Mason.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Augustine’s of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Morrow, Georgia.

Peggy was such a good woman with a heart of gold. Her love for me and my family was immeasurable. She was so loving and kindhearted.
