Mrs. Nancy Loraine Collins, age 70, of Thomaston, passed away May 1, 2022.

She was born in Texas City, Texas on December 28, 1951 to the late Paul and Ruby Malone. As a young woman, Nancy met Daniel Collins at Gilley’s NightClub in Pasadena, Texas. The couple remained in Texas City where they married and welcomed two daughters and one son. The Collins family resided in Friendswood, TX for a time before their final move to Thomaston, Georgia where Nancy spent the remainder of her life.

Nancy was a loving mother and homemaker to her family. She was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness and longtime member of Kingdom Hall of Thomaston. She enjoyed crafts and caring for animals. Nancy had a heart for animals, domesticated and wild. She was known to rehabilitate injured wildlife and raise young animals without parents. Nancy was a sweet lady with a kind soul. She will be remembered for her love of family, thrift shopping and driving around looking for turtles and frogs.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband: Daniel Dale Collins of Thomaston; daughters and sons-in-law: Kelly and Kevin Hicks and Natalie and Steven O’Linger, all of Thomaston; son and daughter-in-law: Kevin and Kelly Collins of Pearland, TX; grandchildren: Hailey O’Linger, Emily O’Linger, Lauren O’Linger, Jake Edwards, Madison Collins; loyal pets: Taffy, Otter, Weenie and Bentley.
