William Scott Newsome, age 64, of Decatur, Georgia passed away Monday, May 4, 2015. Services to celebrate the life of William Scott Newsome will be held at a later date.
William Scott Newsome graduated from Crosby High School,Waterbury,CT. He attended Central CT State University, New Britain, CT. He retired from Focus Receivable Management LLC. He was a member of The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church (The House of Hope) Decatur, GA. He is preceded by his mother Dorothy Flowers Newsome and his brother, Todd Eric Newsome.
Surviving are his father William M. Newsome, CT; His sisters and brothers : Rhonda Newsome Smith (Albert Smith, Jr.) CT, Davey Milo Newsome, (Bobbery Newsome) MD, Sheila Newsome Pepple, IL. Reverend Keith Newsome (Michelle Newsome) NC., Jacqueline N. Butler (Larry Butler) CT; several nieces and nephews; aunts uncles and cousins.

My condolences Bill just came to my mind I haven’t talked to him in many years we worked together at the Bank in East Hartford and we had many laughs and me and my girlfriend at that time visit him a couple times in Decatur he always showed us hospitality RIP Bill

Scotty. He was my roommate at Central. When we moved to GA in 1992, I was surprised to find out he was dating my ex wifes sister. It was good to see him. I later lost touch with him as I traveled a lot for work. I often thought of Scotty but to no avail. He entered my mind today, April 21, 2025, and I felt compelled to search again. Sad to read he has already gone where we all will. Rest in Peace Brother. 🌹
