Your Smile
Though your smile is gone forever,
And your hand we cannot touch
Still we have so many memories
Of the one we loved so much.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we will never part
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts.
It is sad to walk the road alone,
Instead of side by side.
But to all there comes a moment
When the ways of life divide.
You gave us years of happiness
Then came sorrow and tears,
But you left us beautiful memories,
We will treasure through the years.

What a beautiful person inside and out. Aunt Nina, or Aunt Nana as I called you, I love you dearly and am so glad that you were a part of my life. Of course, I wish it had been for a lot longer but I will cherish the memories we made together. Thank you for loving me and my sweet Zander. It makes me smile to think of how your face must have looked when you were reunited with your parents. I miss you already but I am comforted knowing that you are in the presence of our Lord our God.

We were just two little preachers’ kids when we met. We had so many good times together We shared a special bond of friendship – actually like sisters. Though we were separated by geography as adults we remained in each other’s hearts. I will never forget you calling me to tell me about your illness and that you felt you would soon be going to heaven. You said that you wanted me to heat it from you. You reminisced about the good times and shared words of love and friendship. What a beautiful and courageous thing for you to do. My heart hurts for your family and all of us who loved you but I am rejoicing for you that your made it home where there’s no more pain or suffering. You have joined your parents and mine rejoicing for eternity. I will always love you and cherish the memories. I am lifting up your husband Mike and entire family in my prayers.
