May 13, 1938 – July 25th, 2025
Patricia Ann Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025. Patricia was born in Cedartown, Georgia on May 13, 1938 to John and Tennie Swanson.
The Family will receive friends at Cox Funeral Home chapel in Hamilton, Georgia on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 12:30 PM. A celebration of Patricia’s life, officiated by Pastor Brian Fuller, will follow at 1:00 PM, internment will follow at Palmer Cemetery on Palmer Cemetery Road in Box Springs, Georgia.
Patricia married the love of her life, Larry O. Brown, in 1957. They were married for 57 years until his death in 2014. Together they had 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She worked as a crossing guard for many years and took great pride in her job. She was passionate about her cats, loved the beach, especially trips to their Panama City Beach home and decorating it to her liking. She had many hobbies throughout her life that included monitoring the weather, gardening, bird watching, shopping, dining out and was an avid reader.
Other than her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Brown and her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Henry Kelly of Hephzibah, Georgia. She loved her family dearly. Survivors include her son Chris Brown and his wife Judy, her son Randy Brown, her daughter Patti Eaton, her son Keith Brown and her daughter Sharon Orvis and her husband Gary. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Wilkins (Wayne), Ashley Sawyer (Jamie), Jason Brown, Miranda Brown, Arielle Makenzie (Alex), Misty Roller, Cody Brown, Morgan Orvis and Madison Jones and 9 great grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by her brother and sister In-laws Gene Brown and his wife Brenda and Elaine Brown Ligon and her husband Hugh.
Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.
