Patricia Ann (Swanson) Adams, 76, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2018 after battling a persistent illness. Pat was born at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta on February 28, 1942 to the late James Stanford Swanson and Mattie Sue Wright. She graduated from Stone Mountain High School and spent her entire life living in and around Atlanta.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Freeland, and her grandson Drew Adams. She is survived by her son, Duane Adams, daughter-in-law, Donna Adams, daughters, Carole Adams and Cindy Adams, son-in-law Andy Ainsworth, granddaughter Lindsey Adams, and grandsons, Oliver Brantley and Trevor Adams.
Pat was a devout Christian and loved her church, helping and attending whenever possible. She was a nanny and care-giver up until retiring and volunteered at a nursing home. She loved her children and grand-children and always put everyone’s needs before her own. She also loved nature and animals and always looked out for the underdog. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Lifeline Animal Project at www.lifelineanimal.org. The family will be having a private celebration of life. I came across this by accident while doing another search for my daddy Stan Swanson jr I guess I’ll never give up ! Her pictures are so beautiful I remember some of them when I was growing up !
