Patricia Ann Wilkins was born June 23, 1950 in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Catherine May McClain and James R. McClain. She accepted Christ as her lord and savior at an early age and was a member of Beallwood Church of God in Columbus, Georgia where she taught children’s Sunday School. She was a sociable person as she is described to have “never met a stranger.” She enjoyed catching up with friends and family on phone calls and was known to be quite the joker, bringing laughs to those around her. She enjoyed flower gardening and other past times, but her family was her true love, especially her grandchildren. On Saturday, April 8, 2017, Mrs. Wilkins of Phenix City, Alabama passed away at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilkins is preceded in death by her son, James Anthony Wilkins.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy W. Wilkins of Phenix City, Alabama; daughters, Sharon Lovell and Tammy Wilkins both of Phenix City, Alabama; grandchildren, Jeramy Wilkins of Columbus, Georgia, Brittany Lovell of Phenix City, Alabama and Raven Lovell of Maryland; sisters, Jean Williamson of Smiths Station, Alabama and Sharon (Charles) Mann of Eufaula, Alabama; and a host of extended family members.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later time and they kindly request that memorial contributions be made to Columbus Hospice, https://secure.qgiv.com/for/?key=chospice.
The Wilkins family would also like to extend their appreciation for the compassionate staff of Columbus Hospice for the care and support given to Mrs. Wilkins and her family.
The Wilkins family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 7500 Veterans Parkway, Suite A, Columbus, Georgia 31909. Condolences may be offered at www.georgiacremation.com.
