Peggy Joyce Teal Anthony, age 91, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on November 18, 2023.

Peggy was born to Mary Frances and Albert Eugene Teal on February 7, 1932 in Columbus.  She graduated from Jordan High School in 1949 on a Friday and began working the following Monday with AT&T, where she had an administrative career for 30 years.  She then worked for 10 years with the Muscogee County School District and spent six years working as a children’s caregiver. She enjoyed walking daily throughout the neighborhood, attending the local TOPS club and watching her favorite pastor, Charles Stanley, on television.  Peggy attended the Salvation Army Worship & Community Center.  She loved her dogs, especially her chihuahua, Tiny.  Peggy enjoyed living in retirement with her son, Chris, her caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Frances and Albert Teal. Survivors include her son, Christopher Eugene Anthony of Columbus; sister Carol Teal Williams (Gary) of Sioux Falls, SD; and a niece and nephew in North Carolina.
