Pierce “P.J.” Williams, age 84, of Jonesboro, passed away August 25, 2021.
P.J. was born in Atlanta on January 12, 1937. He spent the last 40 years of his life in Jonesboro. P.J. had a passion for cars and racing. He was a longtime automotive repairman who specialized in Volkswagons and Porches. P.J. was a proud member of the Old Timers Racing Club for more than 20 years. When P.J. wasn’t working on his vehicles, he was adding to his model train sets. P.J. was meticulously neat and organized. He had a strict schedule of socializing at the Crystals restaurant every morning except Sundays. To his closest friends and family, he was affectionately called a grumpy old man.
He is survived by his wife: Josephine Williams of Jonesboro; son: Tony Williams of St. Pete, FL; daughter: Kellye Williams and husband Mike of Michigan; step-children: Brian Montry and wife Barbara of Lakeland, FL, Robin Greene and husband Gerald of Griffin, Suzanne Dunlap and husband Keith of Peachtree City; grandson: Michael Williams; beloved canine companion: Molly.

So sorry about one of my favorite people. I’m so sorry that I just found out. He was my family and I have so little left. He knew me since I was a little girl and he always could brighten up a room with his witty personality. He will be missed but I still have my memories. Josephine you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
