Quintin Hendon passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA due to acute unforeseen pneumonia complication at the age of 64.
Quintin Wade Hendon (Quintny) was born July 6, 1955, in Houston, Texas to the late Frances Rebecca Lyles Hendon and Sam Emmerson Hendon, Jr. He was one of five siblings.
Quintin was loved by his family very much and will be greatly missed by everyone. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all he came in contact. He was an avid Alabama fan as his parents return to Gadsden AL, shortly after his birth where he resided as a child until the family relocated in 1967, to Richland, GA. There, he attended the local public and high schools. Quintin was known for his kind heart, and his giving spirit. He would literally give the very shirt off his back if he thought it would benefit another soul.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rebecca and Sam Hendon, Jr. He will always be remembered by his brothers James Hendon, Michael (Sherry) Hendon, sisters Gay (Walter) Harris, Tina Kirby and nephews and nieces.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Richland First Baptist Church in Richland, Georgia. Family and friends will gather in the fellowship hall after the service.
The Hendon Family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 7500 Veterans Parkway, Suite A, Columbus, Georgia 31909, 706-577-0055. The family invites you to leave a condolence or share a fond memory of Mr. Hendon below.
