Raymond E. Weaver, 71, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away on January 18, 2026, after a long illness, at his home surrounded by friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Patricia Weaver, and his loving wife, Gaye Lynn Weaver.
Raymond was married to his beloved wife, Gaye Weaver, for 37 years before her passing in 2025. Their marriage was marked by love, companionship, and shared adventures. They especially enjoyed traveling together, with memorable trips to Jamaica and back home to Ohio.
Born on September 20, 1954, Raymond is survived by his brother, Carl (Hilda) Weaver, and his sister, Nancy Weaver. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Sue (Jack) Costlow and Jill Gerber; nephew Sam Costlow (Leila) and Jarrett Gerber; nieces Ashley (Brent, Marcy, Nash) Hendricks and Abby (Brody, Roman) Koah; and his close friend, Alex. Raymond is also survived by his special neighbors and friends on Gaines Ferry Road, who were there for him through it all.
Raymond will be remembered for his love of music, especially the joy he found in playing his guitars. At this time, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life honoring both Raymond and Gaye will be held at a later date.
Georgia Cremation in Duluth is assisting the family with arrangements.
