Raymond Lamar Huffman was born March 25, 1936 in Carrollton, Georgia, the only boy of six children, to the late Robert and Ida Mae Huffman. Raymond was a Christian, and he loved putting together puzzles, playing golf, and cleaning. His love and passion for cooking led him to a long career of 24 years serving as a chef for Haliburton Oil Rig, Key West Resort, and numerous celebrities and politicians.
Raymond Lamar Huffman, 83, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at West Georgia Hospice surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Raynell Hoffman, Wyolene Tannell, and Joyce Marie Young.
Survivors include his three children; Kim (Keith) Arnod, Mark (Wanda) Huffman, and Tangie (Daryl) Jones, and two sisters; Jean Brock of Newnan, GA and Mary Helen Cowart of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Heather and Nick Rider, Dusty and Heidi Jones, Taylor Andriate, Clay Andriate, and Nick Andriate; and several great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will have a gathering of friends and family starting at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the home of Mrs. Tangie Jones, 184 Overbrook Drive, LaGrange, GA 30240.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, 4050 Roanoke Road, LaGrange, GA 30240. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

I’ll always remember sitting at his kitchen table, watching him jump up, grab the BB gun and run outside to scare the squirrels away from his mango trees. He always stood and shook my hand every time I walked in the room, I never told him, but I always appreciated that. A small act, but it spoke volumes about him. Going to miss him, love ya’ll.
