Rhonda P. Cooley was born September 15, 1955 in Phenix City, Alabama to Gladys Hall and the late Edward Cecil Parrish. Ms. Cooley was the life of the party and full of spunk. She always managed to find the positive in every situation and everyone she encountered. Ms. Cooley enjoyed a variety of hobbies but fishing and planting flowers were just a few of her favorites. During her life, Rhonda spent most of her time taking care of her family, who she loved dearly. She was instrumental in taking care of her parents before her health would not allow. Her pride and joy in life were her granddaughters who she loved dearly. Ms. Cooley passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home with her daughter, Carisa, by her side.
In honoring Ms. Cooley’s wishes, there will be no public service held; however; flowers may be sent to the home of Carisa Sherman, 6 Homer Drive, Phenix City, Alabama 36869.
Ms. Cooley was preceded in death by her father, Edward Cecil Parrish. Survivors include her daughter, Carisa Sherman of Phenix City, Alabama; mother, Gladys Hall Parrish of Phenix City, Alabama; brother, Eddid Joe (Wanda) Parrish of Salem, Alabama; granddaughters, Hannah and Meagan Nichole Sherman of Smiths Station, Alabama; niece, Amie Parrish (Scott) Flournoy of Smiths Station, Alabama, and great-niece and nephews, Caden, Cohton, and Caitlin Flournoy.
