Richard David Michaels age 71 passed away at home on August 10, 2023.

Born in Jackson, MS on 7/17/1952, he grew up in Vicksburg, Ms. He worked his way to Newnan, GA and then Fayetteville, GA these last 17 years. He was a retired truck driver and missed being able to drive a truck. He enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie and Young Sheldon. When he was able he loved driving around and visiting his friends at Mike Fitzpatrick Ford, Pulliams Tire, B&B Body Shop, Jack Peeks Sales and Pollards Disposal all while in his favorite Ford Pick up truck.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Jenkins, having been together 30 years; his son: Craig in Florida; his daughter Kimberly in Texas; and also his best friends, Emily and Debbie. His two favorite dogs: Lucy and Charlie miss him very much as well.

I want to thank the Fayetteville Fire Department for all the times you came out to the house. Richard would always say “call the guys” when he needed you. We appreciated your kindness.
