Robert Ernest Cram, resident of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on August 27, 2021, at the age of 61 after battling throat cancer.
Bob, as he was known to family and friends, was the son of the late James Edward and Ernestine Edith Cram, of Morrisville, Vermont. Having grown up in Morrisville, Vermont, Bob enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a track vehicle mechanic before receiving an honorable discharge. Bob moved to Georgia, where he continued working as a mechanic in the Lawrenceville and Columbus areas, and was actively involved in the Jaycees.
Bob was preceded in death by his sister Cheryl LaBarge, and he is survived by his brother Edward Cram of Lyndonville, VT, and his sister Laurel Cram of Morrisville, VT.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Dianne Stevens Cram, whom he considered the love of his life. Bob is survived by his two step-children, Joanna Lyons Anglin of Covington, Georgia, and James Brantley Lyons, of Smith’s Station, Alabama. For all who knew him, Bob was a kind, giving person who was always willing to help someone in need, whether that was by offering advice, helping fix a car, or simply being a listening ear. He will be greatly missed, but we are comforted knowing that he and Robin are together once again.
A memorial service will be held for Bob Cram at the Maple Pavilion at Tribble Mill Park in Gwinnett County on Oct. 17th from 1:30-3pm. Masks are strongly encouraged.
The Cram family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 7500 Veterans Parkway, Suite A, Columbus, Georgia 31909, 706-577-0055.
