Rosewani Crock Crowther, age 41, of Cumming, GA passed away on April 3, 2020. She was born in Penang, Malaysia. At the age of 6, she moved to Philadelphia with her parents and sisters. Self-described as a shy girl, Rose attracted a large group of friends before graduating from Springfield High School in 1996. She went on to graduate from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and as a proud sister of Theta Tau Omega in 2001.
In May 2007, she was awarded the professional designation of Certified Internal Auditor by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Rose married Joseph Crowther on January 16, 2010 in the city of Decatur, GA. Rose delivered her son, Cole Joseph, on April 24, 2011 and her daughter, Ella Rose, on February 17, 2014. Cole and Ella were the light of her life and she did everything that she could to provide a magical experience for them daily. Being a mother was her calling and she continuously strived to be the best one that she could be at every opportunity that she was provided.
Rose was well-known for her humor, selflessness, and generosity. She was affectionately known as the Chief Memory Maker among a tight knit group of mothers in East Atlanta. She made sure that every child in attendance of a group event had a world-class experience and left with a personalized gift. She put so much thought into every gift that she gave to everyone.
Rose will be remembered for her ability to light up any room with her vibrant smile, quick wit and humor, and her skills on the dance floor.
Rose was preceded in death by her father, Robert Crock and brother, Zamzuri Crock.
She is survived by her children, Cole and Ella; husband, Joseph Crowther; mother, Zainah Crock; sisters, Zambrina Sturtevant and Suriati Cevallos; and a host of brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews who love and miss her dearly.

Zam, this is to you and your entire family… we are deeply sorry and words do not adequately express the depth of our feelings for you guys. We missed you while you were away and are glad that you are back safely across the street, but we are glad that you were there to be the big sister, once more. You have been, and will continue to be, in our prayers. We thank God on a regular basis for blessing us with neighbors like ya’ll. We love you all, the Kimes

Dear Zainah, Zambrina, and Suriati ,
Words won’t do justice, but I’ve been wanting to thank you for the way you raised and influenced Rose. Thank you for showing her how to be such a wonderful friend and to give so much without asking for anything in return. I really cherished that about her. She was vibrant, caring, fun, creative, and so strong in large part because of the way you loved her.
For Joey, Cole, and Ella,
I’ve been thinking of you all of the time. When I think of Rose, I think of a great story teller, a romantic, more adventurous than most, a dancing queen, and a fierce mom. She loved you so much, she told everyone she spoke with about how being with you was the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to her. You were her favorite chapter, thank you for making her so happy.
To my dear friend Rose,
I know you know how I feel, but one thing has really been on my mind. You lived every moment with gratitude. It was so special and unique the way you went above and beyond so often with such great energy. Every moment with your family and friends filled you and it always inspired me. Thanks for being one of my favorite friends, I’m so much better for knowing you.
Just a few weeks ago, Rose wrote a couple of us a message that I won’t forget. It was a sweet gesture she made towards someone and she wrote how much it meant to have each other’s backs and especially our family’s backs. Joey, we’ve got your back. You’ve built an amazing family and we are here to help you guys however we can. Please keep in touch.
Sending so much love to all of you.

I’m so sorry Rose passed away. May you be comforted in knowing God promises at John 5:28,29: …the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life…
He will help you to cope with the difficult days ahead.

I’m still in shock and heartbroken over Rose’s death. I worked with her for a few years and had the pleasure of meeting the entire family several times. I was happy when we met because she’s the only one I know that’s the same height and size as me. She was always so happy and talked about her beautiful family a lot.
