Mr. Ross Russell “Russ” Mullen, age 80, of Conyers, passed away February 3, 2020.
Mr. Mullen was born in Chester, PA on September 9, 1939 to the late Ross and Elizabeth Mullen. He spent the last 20 years of his life in Conyers, GA.
Mr. Mullen was quiet and gentle. He was a kind, mild-mannered man. He had a quick wit and was very intelligent. He loved computers and worked as a technical editor and author for at least 15 years. Mr. Mullen lived an adventurous life of many travels. He flew around the world while using his photography skills to capture on film amazing landscape and wildlife.
Mr. Mullen is survived by his children: Michael Donald Mullen, Russell Connell Mullen, Stephen Rambo Mullen and their families; cousins: Dorothy Siegl of MI, Max Welker of TN, Theresa Loew of GA; and three other cousins.
The Mullen family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to all who were so kind and thoughtful during their time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care Hospice, http://www.swchristiancare.org/.
Mr. Mullen’s cremains will be interred close to his mother at Bethleham United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thornton, PA. The Mullen family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville. Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.

Russ and I worked on a great many projects together and I’m so very sad to hear that he’s gone. He had always been exceptionally kind in his remarks to me and always a professional in his dealings. I always remembered his birthday and Christmas as well. It’ll feel so strange not to send the cards this year. We talked about so many topics over the years; it boggles the mind. He was right there to offer help instead of platitudes when my wife died. Even though we never met in person, I considered him a good friend. Words fail…
