It was such a shock to see Bill’s obituary in the Bradenton Herald this morning. He was a good friend of my son,Jay Duke when they were teenagers. I always felt he was one of my “boys.”He was a kind and gentle person. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I pray for God’s peace for his family.

Bill was in my kindergarten class at Jessie P. Miller Elementary School in Bradenton back in the 1960’s. I was shocked and saddened to read that he had passed away. He was a very special young man with wonderful qualities. He had many, many friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Sandy Haas-Martens says
LuAnne,
So sorry about Bill and in shock. I was the sitter for Bill, Claire and Karen for years. I would take them to the stock car races at the old track on US 41 in Bradenton and made them clean their rooms before we went. Madge and Kay were so surprised how the
house looked when they came home from a weeks trip. I always had fun with Bill and the girls. I’m sorry I didn’t get to speak to all of you at Kay’s church service and catch up. Love to all.
