Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Roxanne Precopia, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Roxanne lived a life defined by faith, intellect, creativity, and love for others. An accomplished entrepreneur, she successfully owned and operated multiple businesses before pursuing her passion for education. She went on to become a beloved professor, sharing her knowledge and inspiring students at Kent State University, the University of Akron, and the Ringling College of Art and Design. Her lifelong love of art led her to earn a master’s degree in art history, a subject she cherished and continued to enjoy throughout her life.

Deeply devoted to her Christian faith, Roxanne was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Stephen Ministry leader and was instrumental in establishing the Stephen Ministry program within the congregation. Through her ministry and her daily life, she offered compassion, encouragement, and steadfast support to those in need.

Embracing life with curiosity and joy, she loved traveling, reading, and exploring the world through art and culture. She delighted in gathering with friends and treasured the fellowship and laughter they brought.

Above all, Roxanne’s greatest joy was her family. She shared a special and deeply loving bond with her only child, Beth, and the two remained exceptionally close throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Beth Tuttle; her son-in-law, Jim Tuttle; and her beloved grandsons, AJ and Nick Tuttle, who brought her immense pride and happiness. In addition to being a devoted mother, Roxanne opened her heart and home as a foster mother to Jen and Heather, loving and supporting them as part of her extended family. She also celebrated many joyful years with her late husband, Price Pittman.

Roxanne will be remembered for her unwavering faith, brilliant mind, generous spirit, and her remarkable ability to make others feel seen, loved, and valued. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched as a wife, mother, foster mother, grandmother, teacher, mentor, and friend. Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved her find comfort in the promise of eternal life and in the countless memories she leaves behind.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
