Salome Adrienne Asklar Shillington passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born on March 20,1938. It was the first day of Spring, and it definitely fit her as she always met others with a smile. She married Charles J. Shillington on June 4, 1966, and they honeymooned in Cape Cod.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two children, Kathleen (David) Richardson and Alex (Courtney Perkins) Shillington; five wonderful grandchildren, Andrew Howell (w Justyne Couch), Holly (Cory) Farmer, Carson Shillington, Heidi Howell (with Luke Bradley), and Olivia Shillington; as well as five beautiful great-grandchildren, Cooper, Landon, Everleigh, Jace, and Walker; and her older brother Eugene Asklar and his wife Eleanor, and their children, John, Thomas, Elizabeth, Susan and families.

She was predeceased by her parents, John Asklar and Blanche Adamshick, and younger brother, John.

Salome had several full time positions before marrying, but her true calling was as a loving wife and mother. She put her heart into being a mom, always finding time for her children and their activities. She is deeply missed by her family, but they are comforted knowing she is at peace with Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
