Carolyn Farmer Sanders, age 65, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015. Memorial Services will be held 3 pm, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Johns Creek Presbyterian Church, 10950 Bell RD, Johns Creek, GA 30097 www.jcpcusa.org (770)813-9009.
Carol was born Monday, August 22, 1949 in Toccoa, Georgia and spent her formative years there. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Hazel York Farmer. She is survived by: sister, Martha F. Bandy; nephews, John Bandy and his wife, Rhonda and Todd Bandy and his wife, Christy. Also surviving include her great nephews, Jack Bandy and Ben Bandy.

One of our fellow Toccoa High School classmates today told me that Carolyn passed away this week. He saw the obituary in the Toccoa newspaper today. I will always will remember Carolyn as a pretty, very sweet girl. I just pulled out our 1967 yearbook and noticed that Carolyn was one of our Senior Class Favorites, voted Most Outstanding Leader.
Unfortunately, I haven’t seen Carolyn in many years. I know she will be missed by her family and friends.

i am so saddened to hear of the death of Carolyn. As her high school classmate and friend I remember her as beautiful with such a sweet smile.and I loved her georgeous long red hair. I especially remember one day after school several of us girls walked to Carolyn’s house up the street and pierced our ears! We used ice to numb, a huge needle to stick through our ears into a large potato half behind our ear. Someone had smelling salts if we needed. My ears are still pierced. What a memory!

I am also one of Carolyn’s 1967 THS classmates.
I remember her as a darling, little thing & fun to hang out with.
I always admired her petite figure & beautiful, red hair.
We were basketball cheerleaders together in the 11th grade.
Clydene, if you are reading this, i am sorry i didn’t know until Friday morning, or i would have come to the service. I know you miss her & how you are hurting now, but her love & memories will comfort you.

So saddened by the news of Carolyn, she was a precious person. I knew Carolyn through all the years of school in Toccoa, such fond memories. She had a sweet, kind heart and a big smile for everyone. She will be missed. May God comfort her family and friends during their time of sorrow and healing.
