Leslie June Hambleton Shaffer
Leslie June Hambleton Shaffer, age 70, of Duluth, Georgia, formerly of Vancouver, British Columbia, made her transition on October 24, 2016. A service to celebrate the life of Leslie will be held this summer in Deep Cove, British Columbia, a place she holds dear in heart from her childhood. She was the oldest of six children and mother of 3, who love and adore her. Leslie enjoyed gardening in her backyard and her puppy dog Lamb Chop Shaffer who gave her much joy. Leslie had a witty and wonderful sense of humor and her self-reliant attitude made her a strong, independent, successful woman. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly; son, Ian; daughter, Kerry Love; sisters, Josie, Jennifer and Susan; and brothers, Steve and Paul. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. The lost of a loved one grieves the heart and words are never enough to take away the pain. However, our Heavenly Father knows your grief. As a loving and caring Father, He will be there to comfort and sooth your “broken-heart and crushed spirit”. ( Psalm 34:18 ). May you find comfort and hope in God’s promise of a day when you will reunite with your loved one again. ( Isaiah 26:19 ). My sincere condolences to the family.
