Shirley Louise Shepherd, 77, of Griffin, GA passed away on Thursday, May 26th 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Shepherd was born on September 21st 1944 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She loved to garden and make sure her yard looked nice. She never met a stranger, she loved all people, but always loved animals more, especially her own. She never wanted to see someone in need and would give you the shirt off her back. She loved flea markets and yard sales. Hummingbirds were very special to her and will be a constant reminder of the wonderful person she was to everyone who loved her. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved to create new things. She was a licensed beautician and gave the best hair cuts. She was very proud of her years spent as Office Manager for Doctors Myron Katz & Neil Gladstone, where she retired from. At a later date, her ashes will be spread with her dog’s ashes in Daytona Beach, Florida from the boardwalk pier, as she loved the beach from birth, a love that never ended.
She was preceded in death by her mother Peggy Sherbert, father John Burrill, step mother Dorothy Stokes, brothers David & Gary Branham, and Jesse & Rose Shepherd.
Her survivors include her husband Phillip Shepherd, daughter Tenia Shepherd, granddaughters Morgan & Brandy McCard, special friend Frances McCard, siblings Peggy Lambert & J.D. Mellette, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a yet to be determined date. Shepherd family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 W, Fayetteville. Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.

It’s been like 6 months now and it still feels like yesterday. It just is different when you lose your parents. I miss her so much.
