Sidney Genelle McElwee Kersey, 39, of Waverly Hall, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 in Harris County.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Waverly Hall Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kersey was born December 13, 1979 in Columbus, the daughter of James Wallace McElwee and Debbie Pope McElwee. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, friend, sister, and a member of Waverly Hall Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and camping with family. Playing with her grand-daughter, and was a big fan of the Auburn Tigers. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tabatha Marie Sasser.

Survivors include her children, Mary Jane Kersey (Tony) of Waverly Hall, Randy Joe Kersey, Jr. of Cataula, Sadie Grace Kersey of Waverly Hall; her husband, Randy Joe Kersey, Sr.; her mother, Debbie Pope McElwee of Waverly Hall, her father, James Wallace McElwee of Ladonia, AL; five sisters, Amity (Chris) Scott of Buena Vista, Lisa Kay Beebe (Jack Clark) of Smith Station, AL, Lindy (Derek) Wooddell of Waverly Hall, Jamie (Bubba) Brand of West Point, Mary Beth (Chase) Brown of Kennesaw, GA; one granddaughter, Estella Ann Miller of Waverly Hall; 14 nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
