Silvia Wilder

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Silvia Wilder, 56, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away on December 4, 2025, at her home. Silvia was surrounded by family when her battle with cancer came to an end.

Silvia was born June 15, 1969, in Ronneburg, Germany, to Karl Hinez Keller and Maria (Krupp) Keller.

Silvia was a very giving woman with an enormous heart and endless love to go around. She gave most of her life to fostering special needs children, and subsequently ended up adopting three. She was always willing to help those in need. Silvia was also an avid pet lover. She contently donated her time and money to the local humane society.

Silvia was preceded in death by her parents: Karl and Maria Keller; her daughter: Latasha Wilder; and her sister: Inga Keller. She leaves to mourn her memories, her husband: James Wilder; her son: Johnathan Wilder; her son: Thristian Wilder; her daughter: Makayla Wilder; her foster daughter: Anna Burgess;  her lifelong friend: Angelika Rau; her cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A very special THANKS to Heather Coates, Angelika Rau, and Gutron Holiday, and many others for their support.

Condolences

Silvia was one of a kind! As a nurse with Clayton County Public Schools, I had the honor of working with her and her family for several years. She was an inspiration for other parents and school staff as she navigated through the system to make sure her children received the services required to meet their needs. I always marveled at her inherent skills to take care of even the most complex and difficult medical issues without wavering. She was a tireless advocate and taught me so much about the value of working alongside parents as a team member with mutual respect and goals. Thank you Silvia!💕

Mrs. Wilder will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember when I started at Childkind she helped me understand the importance of advocating for medically complex children and what avenues to use to get the children their needed services. I learned so much from Mrs. Wilder even though she fussed at me a lot (humor).
Mrs. Wilder loved the children and made sure they were taken care of. She didn’t acknowledge her kids as foster children but her children.
I will cherish my memories of her and continue to advocate like she would want us to for the children.

    She will truly be missed!!!!

Silvia was one of the first people I met when I came to Georgia. As her daughter’s nurse I was welcomed in her home and made to feel like family. She especially loved the holidays and made it such a special time for her children. I know this holiday will be especially hard for her children. She was such a beautiful soul. I love you and miss you. Rest in heaven my friend.
