My thoughts and prayers are with his precious family. Steve was a one of a kind man. His family and friends supported his walk in life. Especially his beloved sister Linda. She opened her home and life to take care of him. Thank you Linda Banker Clegg for taking responsibility for him .

Linda, your unselfishness and love in the caring for your brother will not be ignored during your judgement time; the Lord admonishes us to do just that, and you obeyed; I’m sure your whole family is aware and appreciative. I pray you will find rest, peace, and comfort – and never, ever, have a single moment of regrets! You are an amazing lady. I’d like to believe that, had my brother lived, I would be doing the same as you. God bless you, dear one.

I met Steve many years ago when he was a staff member at The Columbus Museum. When my daughter was ten he painted a beautiful portrait of her and the painting is a testimony to his incredible talent . He was a gentle and kind soul. My deepest sympathy to your family. Susan Nevels Binns

Received my LaGrange College magazine in the mail and saw the notice of his death. He and I were good friends in college, briefly reconnected in Columbus years ago and then in my many moves we lost touch with each other. I had tried to track him down the last five years without success. Steve could be driven, or quiet and reflective. Memories are flooding over me of our time as art majors at LaGrange. This is hard news to take in. He was a gentle soul that will be missed.
