Sunny Dawn Weikert Cooper of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Memorial services will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Calvary Community Center, Building #5 7482 Old Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
Ms. Cooper was born February 28, 1937 in Tipp City, OH the daughter of Ralph and Hazel Irene Weikert. She was the mother of three daughters, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her hobbies included cooking and entertaining for family and friends and cheering on her beloved Auburn Tigers. Sunny’s devotion and firm belief in God ultimately gave her peace.
Sunny was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Norman Weikert, Tom Weikert and Tim Weikert, the father of her children, Larry Cooper and a son-in-law, Tony Mercer.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra C. Mercer, Tammy Taylor (Richard), Melinda Avant (Greg); brothers, Jim Weikert (Mary Jane), Jack Weikert (Lori) and several nieces and nephews.

Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with arrangements.
