Terri “Mimi” Marie Wilmarth from Columbus, GA passed away into the presence of Jesus on February 17, 2024. Mimi was born on August 29, 1964 in Youngstown, OH and was blessed to be adopted by the late Terrance William Carroll and Annie Louise Carroll. Mimi grew up in Auburn Township, OH where she enjoyed being part of the Auburn Charmers 4-H club. During her time in 4-H, she greatly enjoyed sewing clothes for the club’s fashion shows. She graduated from Kenston High School in 1983 and spent one year at Rio Grande College in Rio Grande, OH before returning home after the death of her father in July of 1984.
Mimi married in 1988 and gave birth to one daughter, Autumn Lynn, in 1996 after moving to St. Louise, MO. After her divorce in 1997, she returned to Columbus, GA to raise her daughter among family and friends. She worked in childcare as well as a private nanny until remarrying in 2012. She was a devoted and loving wife to Kenneth “Scottie” Wilmarth until his death in 2016. She then moved in with her mother to become her main caretaker. Mimi loved being a grandmother and adored her two grandchildren, Ryder and Hunter.
Mimi was a lover of animals; especially dogs and horses. Because of her love for animals, she volunteered at PAWS Humane Society and Began Again Farm. Her love for sports was mainly due to her admiration for the players. These sports included hockey and baseball. Her excitement and admiration for the Columbus Cottonmouths and Columbus River Dragons was infectious. When she attended hockey games, her excitement was larger than life at the expense of embarrassing her brother Kevin. Unfortunately, she was a fan of the LA Dodgers due to her infatuation with Steve Garvey. However, she was a true fan of the Cleveland Indians mainly due to her fascination with Rick Manning . Mimi also was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia She was a fan of 1980’s pop rock and a super fan of Duran Duran.
Mimi was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (LCMS) where she enjoyed being part of the women’s ministry. She took great pleasure in participating in the secret sister program. She recently started to volunteer at The Oaks Assisted Living at Grove Park and began attending the Dementia Caregiver Support Group.
She was preceded in death by her father: Terrance William Carroll; husband: Kenneth Wilmarth; both paternal and maternal grandparents: Elmer and Helen Carroll and Lewey and Thelma Arnold. Mimi was a unique individual in every way. I fell in love with her when I first saw her big beautiful eyes and her lovely dark curls! She was around 2 years old at that time. What a wonderful niece she has been….always full of surprises. I’m so grateful that God let her be a part of my life. She had strong faith in God and followed His call to the best of her ability. All of us who knew her and loved her will miss her more than can be expressed. Mimi, I look forward to seeing you again in Heaven. Love, Aunt Carolyn

Prayers for the family! I got to know Mimi at Redeemer Lutheran Church. She always had a smile! She had a strong faith and now with our Lord having no pain. May all of you find peace and comfort.
Pam Jinright says
Mimi was more than my niece, she was a friend, a friend who loved her family and never mer a stranger.
It only tookna few minutes for someone she met to go from being a total stranger, to being . their best friend. She loved to bake, especially with her granddaughter. Mimi adored the two grandkids.
Mimi also loved holidays, Her decorating would sometimes be a little overboard, but she was enjoying herself. It’s going to miss spending time together.

Mimi was a great cousin and friend and I was blessed to have grown up with. I was always fascinated by her coke collections, her strong personality and we both had plenty in common so we understood one another. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Prayers for the entire family. All my love!

As a family friend, I saw Mimi as an honest and true friend, mother and grandmother. She displayed her Christianity by example, love, kindness in every possible way. She never met a stranger and always had a smile to give. Mimi’s love and care of all family members, without a single complaint, was something to behold. If there is such a thing as ” A mean bone in the body” I am sure that she didn’t have one.
I feel certain that God himself met Mimi at the Gate of Heaven as she entered and took her place beside Him. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed dearly.

Mimi was such a kind, loving person. Mimi knew Jesus and He watched over her. Jesus blessed her with the perfect family. Aunt Annie was always such a caring, supportive and loving Mother. Kevin was the best brother Mimi could asked for. Uncle Terry was a wonderful father that loved his family and was taken way too soon. They are together and happy in Heaven. Here on earth there are many people grieving and missing Mimi. Especially her daughter Autumn, grandchildren Ryder & Hunter who Mimi would never want to leave. I pray Jesus gives them comfort and strength. Rest in peace Mimi. May we all see you again in a better place.
Love, Sherri
