Theodore “Tad” West, 62, of Columbus, Georgia passed away after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
A celebration of life will be held on September 15, 2022, 4pm at Living Grace United Methodist Church in Columbus, Georgia.
Tad attended Columbus High School. He joined the USAF in 1980 and spent 3 years in Aviano, Italy with the 40th Supply Squadron during the Cold War.
When he returned home in 1983, he met and fell in love with Gladys Griffin. Tad and Gladys had almost 39 wonderful years together.
He later retired from Pesty Johns Pest Control where he worked for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn C. and Leo F. West, Jr.
He is survived by his life partner, Gladys Griffin and his sister, Beth W. Karriker (Ashley). He had a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of family members and friends who loved and missed him deeply.
Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisting the family.
