Thomas Joseph Ciccone, 60, of Newnan, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Thomas was born August 1, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY, to Thomas and Dorothy (Simonsen) Ciccone. He grew up alongside his brothers and sister in Hazlet, NJ. Thomas graduated from Raritan High School in 1981 and went on to attend Kean University in Union, NJ. He graduated Kean in 1986 obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design.
Thomas met the love of his life, Maureen, in the 1980s while working at Pathmark Supermarket of Hazlet. After five years of dating, the two decided to tie the knot in 1989. Thomas and Maureen spent 34 wonderful years in a loving marriage. The couple lived in Middletown, NJ until 2007 when they moved to Peachtree City, GA, greatly enjoying their new life in the South. Thomas spent the majority of his working career in the Financial Services Industry as a Systems Analyst, where he formed many long-lasting friendships and was respected for his hard work and dedication to his craft.
Thomas was a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. He was a dedicated coach with the Peachtree City Little League Baseball and Soccer associations for many years and an active participant in several Fantasy Football and Baseball leagues. An avid classic rock fan, Thomas enjoyed attending concerts alongside his partner, Maureen, until their son was old enough to take her place. Thomas was a huge fan and collector of vintage Marvel and DC comic books, with a particular passion for all things Batman. He greatly enjoyed traveling in his spare time and had a fondness for Caribbean beaches, the Grand Canyon, and Viva Las Vegas!
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; and his younger brother: Stephen Ciccone. He is survived by his wife: Maureen; son: Brandon Thomas Ciccone of Auburn (War Eagle, son!); his sister: Andrea (Joseph) Allocco of Holmdel, NJ; brother: David (Lisa) Ciccone of Monmouth Junction, NJ; maternal aunt, Mae (Jim) Altman of Henderson, NV; mother-in-law: Mary Galvin of Hazlet, NJ; sister-in-law: Mary (Jack) Boncada of Middletown, NJ; brothers-in-law: John and Michael Galvin, both of Hazlet, NJ; many loving cousins; and cherished nieces and nephews: Madison Galvin, Jacob, Alex, and Rachel Ciccone, Hunter, Skylar, and Jordan Kube, Matthew, and Amanda Stevenson; life-long friends and brothers by choice: Andre Cholmondeley, Craig Kube, Joseph Martucci, and Robert Stevenson; and his much beloved fur babies: Lulu and Annie.
The entire Ciccone family wishes to express their profound and eternal gratitude to the 6th floor and 5th floor ICU nursing staff at Piedmont Newnan Hospital who took such exceptional care of Thomas during his last days. Their compassion and devotion to his comfort during his final hours was beyond compare and will never be forgotten.
Services for Thomas will be held in his home state of New Jersey and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions be made online to the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation for the Mason Transplant Clinic Renovation or in person at 2001 Peachtree Road NE Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30309.

I will always remember the time I first met Tom, he came in wearing a Mets shirt and I looked at him and quickly let him know that we were indeed in the south and he needed to be wearing a Braves shirt. He gave me a chuckle and from then on I really do feel like I got to know him fairly well. Tom was a funny man and you can tell he loved his family a lot by the way he talked about them. And to Maureen, if there is anything that I can do for you, do not hesitate to ask. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts during this time. Tom will be greatly missed.
