Thomas ” Tommy” Lee Smith, Sr.

Thomas Lee Smith, Sr. 74 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Tommy as he was best known by his family and friends, was born May 26, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of the late William Bosley Smith and Mammie Gums Smith. He retired from TNT Flooring as an installer after many years. He loved collecting old antique toys and Elvis memorabilia. Tommy enjoyed cutting grass and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Richard Smith, Jr. and William B. Smith, Jr. He is survived by his children: Teresa Hathcock, Tommy Lee (Heather) Smith, Jr.; Tabitha Ann Haile, Terry Michael Smith, Joshua Smith, Kevin Lee Smith; sister Juanita Smith, twenty-two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with many extended family and friends.

The family will host a celebration service at his home 1208 14th Avenue, Phenix City, Alabama at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
