Joyce Faye Wilkes Tidwell passed away peacefully November 29, 2014.  She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She taught eighth grade Language Arts and also taught ESL through her church.  She served as Baptist Student Union Secretary at Blue Mountain College, and also served on the church staff in Meridian, MS and Redland, CA.  She loved to sew and was an avid reader among many other interests.

Mrs. Tidwell leaves behind her beloved husband of 57 years, Billy U. Tidwell; two daughters, Melissa “Lisa” Tidwell Jackson and Lauren Elizabeth Tidwell; two grandchildren, Ashley Jackson Crocker and Ryan Jackson; one great grandson, Finnegan Crocker; a sister, Janice Townshend of Dahlonega, GA; a brother, Dr. Palmer Wilks of Madison, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Joyce Faye Tidwell will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Gwinnett Memorial Park 925 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 770-962-7630.  Dr. Lamar Holley and Rev. Inman J. Houston will officiate the ceremony.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
