Toni B. Newbern
June 20, 1960 – April 2, 2025
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Toni Newbern, who left us on April 2, 2025, at the age of 64. Toni was born on June 20, 1960, in Columbus, GA, and lived the majority of her life in Salem, AL.
Toni was the cherished daughter of Alton and Dorothy Barton, who preceded her in passing.
She is survived by her two children Ryan Newbern (Stacy) and Elizabeth Collins both of Salem, AL; grandchildren Joey Collins and Maggie-Ryan Newbern and step grandson Trey Williams; two loving sisters, Charlotte Newsome and Kathy Andrews.
Toni was a wonderful and loving mother. Her biggest passion was being a devoted grandmother.
Toni graduated from Spencer High School in Columbus, GA, completed Columbus Tech’s radiology program, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Radiological Science from Florida Hospital College of Science. She worked as a certified cardiovascular tech, dedicating her career to helping others. Toni loved to travel, spend time at the beach, and cherish moments with friends and family. Her warm heart, generous spirit, and the countless lives she touched will be remembered by all who knew her.
Toni passed away at Columbus Hospice. A memorial service will be held at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL, on Friday, April 11th, at 3 PM EST. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Columbus Hospice in Toni’s memory.”
Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Sending my condolences and prayers to her family and friends. I met Toni in Seattle when her and Rhonda went on they’re cruise. We all met at the queen Mary tea room. She seemed so nice and funny. I was blessed to have met her. Hold on to your memories of her and keep them close to your heart.
