Rob was a great kid. We watched him grow up to be a talented, kind man without leaving behind the fun kid he still had inside. We were all blessed to have known him. Our prayers to his wonderful family.

    Robbie,
I haven’t seen you in a few years, but you never, never left my thoughts. You made me laugh harder than I can remember laughing since becoming a working adult. Your talents and taste were superior. Your humility profound. I can’t believe you are no longer with us. So many times I thought to call you and didn’t…caught up in my own life events.
Take a breather and when you come back, tap someone on the shoulder and tell them that it’s you, back for another round.

My heart is truly saddened by the news of the passing of Robbie.
Words cannot even begin to express how deeply sorry I am.
I was Blessed and Honored to have been in High School with him and share classes with him. I remember having a hard time paying attention in class because we were always laughing!!
He was an awesome human being!!! So talented!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time! I pray peace and comfort for you in the days to come.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Rob’s family at this difficult time. I attended college with Rob at Ringling and lived in the same apt. complex with him our first year there. I was lucky to call him my friend from the first day we met and to have him as company for more than one long drive home for holidays, etc when I headed back up to the panhandle to my home outside of Pensacola. Rob was a lovely human being and although the years passed without as contact as I would have liked, I have thought of him with such fondness throughout the years. He will continue to be in my heart and prayers always.

Dear Pat, Nan, Leslie and extended family,

May the Lord bless each of you and give you strength. I share in your grief and hope that the outpouring of love by all who knew Rob will serve as a comfort to you all during this unspeakably sad time.

Rob will remain in my heart and be remembered forever for his kind friendship and joyful presence. He made the world a more beautiful place with his creativity and talent. I am so proud of his accomplishments and I cherish the times we spent together in high school and art school, where he was my home away from home.

I am so grateful that I was able to see him in October 2014. He, Kathy Austin Kelley and I had a lovely dinner and bonding session in Atlanta. We talked and laughed and enjoyed the feeling that no time had passed between us. The picture of him shown is from that time.

    With love, Sandy

    Dear Bob, Nan & Leslie
I am so very sorry for this unbelievable loss you are feeling. Robbie has, always had a special place in my heart. I had known him since the third grade at Little Flower. We may have been in and out of touch through the years because of busy lives but each time we got together it felt like no time had passed at all. I am so thankful that I got to see him last year and enjoy a wonderful dinner with him and Sandy. He was such a kind, funny, compassionate guy who was, loved and will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
    Love,
    Kathy Austin Kelley

Rob, I was fresh out of college when you became my first Art Director in 1992. The art and design principles that you taught then are still part of my life today for which I thank you.
I am sure there are plenty of others whom you mentored that will carry you on in spirit using “Treu Design”.

I will always remember you, Rob. You are gone way too soon, my friend.

My love for Rob can never be replaced and certainly never will be. Oh, how I’ll miss his trademark “awww precious” or “you so crazy” of which both I received many times over the years. A text or a call from him in a day was like a big hug and always ended with “smooches”. I feel so honored and blessed (as we all do) to have known him and been loved by him. He touched anyone’s life who met him, even if only brief. What an amazing testimony to the man many were fortunate to call a friend. I will love you for eternity. Prayers and healing to the entire Treutel family.

I can’t wait for us to Belly Laugh again!!!
