Virginia Marie Nieber

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Virginia Marie Nieber, 78, of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away on April 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, John David Nieber, her sister, Maureen Lobalzo, and her parents, Richard and Eleanor Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Paul Nieber; daughter, Laura (Todd) Neff; daughter-in-law, Leslie Nieber; grandchildren, Alexis (Ross) Hedlund, Eric (Lauren) Neff, Jacob Neff, Emily Neff, Carter Leigh, Ceslie (Cody) Wilson, and Ansley Nieber; great-granddaughter, Cora James Wilson; and her sister, Dorothy (Jim) Vidra. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends, including her niece, Beth (John) Setzenfand, who was like a second daughter.

Ginny was known for her deep love of family, particularly during the holidays. She took great joy in finding the perfect Christmas gifts throughout the year, often creating a year-long scavenger hunt for her husband, John, who would occasionally stumble upon his hidden surprises. This tradition was just one of many ways Ginny showed her affection for those she loved.

Ginny worked as a pediatric nurse with Dr. Sara Goza at Fayette Medical for over thirty years where her compassionate care impacted countless families. Ginny will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and those around her. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 8:30 am, with a Celebration of Life to follow.

Love and sympathy to each of you. Our hearts were broken to hear of Ginny’s passing. We all know where she is living now and take great comfort that she lived out her faith through her ministry while she was with us. We will never forget her contagious warm loving smile and her kind and generous spirit.
