Willie James Rose, age 76, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on March 1, 2024. Born on December 29, 1947, in Sumter, South Carolina, he was the oldest of five siblings. He is survived by his sisters, Mary and Linda, and his brother, Linberg.
He graduated from Maritime High School in Brooklyn, New York. There, he accumulated many certifications, including his diploma, a pre-employment course certificate in Machine Shop Practice and, and proficiency in cooking and catering. Once he graduated, he began to live a beautiful life of hard work and commitment to helping his family.
He married his beautiful wife, Margaret, and maintained a happy marriage for 54 years. They were married in the summer month of May in the year of 1970. Surviving through the lives of his four children, Rodney, Kevin, Brian, and Natalie, watching them welcome his eight beautiful grandchildren into the world.
From the age of 21 until the ripe age of 63, he worked at the United States Postal Office. After 42 years of service and having received many merit awards and certifications on his job for his amazing work ethic; he learned more about his hobbies of fishing, working on cars, and doing yard work.
Along with these hobbies, he loved his spiritual assignment of getting to meetings early, and meeting and greeting the friends into the Kingdom Hall.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Bridge; his brother, Henry Rose; and his father, Lindberg Rose.
Brother Rose has dedicated his life since August 1965 resting his hope on the scripture John 5:25 which reads, “Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now when the dead will hear the voice of the son of God and those who have paid attention will live.”
Brother Rose looked forward to the paradise talked about in Revelations 21:3 & 4, which read, “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
The family wants to extend a special thanks to the Bridgeway Hospice Faculty for providing their assistance and care during the time of his illness, also Georgia Cremation in Duluth, and to the brothers and sisters who sent their prayers to the family in their time of need.
