Willie James Smith was born June 24th, 1936 to the late Jesse Smith and Jessie Mae Cook-Smith. Mr. Smith was an all-around person. He helped any and every one even if they were broken down on the side of the road. He had plenty of jokes of all topics. He loved his checkers, domino’s, poker, and chess. He also loved his corn liquor and plenty of women. Mr. Willie had a tag plate collection from every state. He was a very self-sufficient man, up until his health took a downhill turn at the age of 81 years old. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents.
Willie James Smith, 82, of Waverly Hall, Georgia passed away on January 5th, 2019. Survivors include one sister, eight children, and a host of nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at Flat Rock Baptist Church, 3585 Ridgeway Road, Waverly Hall, GA 31831.
